I must say, I do love using my blog as a platform to share some of my favourite stylish peeps with y’all.  This month, Chrissy, from Just So Fashion is taking over and sharing three quite different ways to wear a sleeveless duster.  If any of you are petite and are looking for inspiration on dressing your neat frame then get your little tush over to Chrissy’s blog and Instagram feed as this lady is a fantastic source of inspiration when it comes to dressing a petite figure…or any figure really, as she’s also a personal stylist.   I met Chrissy about 6 years ago at a Lingerie fashion show in Bath and we hit it off straight away!  She’s got a beautiful personality that’s always brimming with positivity and I think this comes through in her style.  She mixes vintage pieces (many of which were handed down from her late Mum) with high street pieces in a fun and approachable way…it’s hard not to draw inspiration from her personal style!  Take it away Chrissy!  Oh, and not all the pieces that Chrissy is wearing are still available, but I’ve linked to similar items where possible.

How to wear a sleeves duster or vest | sleeveless coats can be worn in so many ways, wear them over a dress for an extra layer of warmth, wear them casually with jeans or go boho and wear it to a festival

Hi I’m Chrissy from Just So Fashion, A style blogger and stylist based in Bristol UK.  Niki and I met at a fashion event in Bath UK a few years ago and we have been friends ever since.  I was so excited when Niki asked me to be her guest blogger for her 3 ways to wear!  I am loving my sleeveless duster coat at the moment and decided to put it to the challenge. I actually wore it to a wedding recently so ‘Special Occasion’ is one of my 3 ways, along with ‘Casual weekend’ and ‘Festival Style’. I love the neck detail on this specific duster and that it can be tied at the waist. I wanted to show you how versatile the duster coat is and how it can also be styled with 3 different items of clothing; a dress, jeans and a skirt.

The Dress – Special Occasion

I bought this dress a year ago because I loved the print and shape. Sleeveless coats look great layered over shorter dresses and skirts. I love the movement of the two different lengths worn together. I wore this outfit to a wedding the other weekend. I like the relaxed, summery feel and worn with a pair of block mules your heels will never get stuck in the grass!

Jeans – Casual Weekend

Jeans – Topshop  //  Blue top – H&M  //  Espadrilles – Pull & Bear (similar here)  //  Bag – Russell & Bromley – Vintage  //  Sunglasses – Topshop (similar here)

I am a bit of a jeans addict so I just had to style the coat with a pair. I chose white because I love the contrast against the navy blue. Being a mummy I don’t usually get to wear white jeans so it is exciting when I get the chance to. I love the whole dress worn with jeans style and this creates that similar look. The coat can be worn tied up showing the jeans at the bottom or open to see the whole outfit underneath. Again the coat smartens the look but with a relaxed style.

Skirt – Festival Style

Skirt – Topshop  //  Vest – Topshop (similar here)  //  Sandals – Dune (similar here) //  Bag – New Look  //  Sunglasses – TK Maxx

I wanted to style a festival look as Glastonbury is this weekend and if I was lucky enough to be going this is what I would wear. I love the bold print on this skirt and it’s all about bold colours and prints this season. Worn with a vest top tied in a knot gives a more summery festival vibe. The coat would look equally great with shorts. I just love wearing it with shorter items of clothing underneath to give that layered summery look. It’s all about the layering!

Hope you like my 3 ways!

Thanks for having me!
