TOP 5 TIPS FOR BUYING JEANS when you are an HOURGLASS SHAPE
1/ tip one for buying jeans when you're an hourglass shape.
Buy the smallest jeans size you can. I know that the last thing you'll probably want to do is buy jeans that feel tight on but denim almost ALWAYS relaxes a little, even expensive denim, so it's a good idea to buy jeans that feel a little tight when you try them on as this allows for them relaxing. When you're trying jeans on, take in your usual size, and take in a half size smaller. If you can get into the smaller pair, I recommend going for those. They should relax to the right size after a few hours of wear.
2 / Tip two for buying jeans when you're an hourglass shape.
The most flattering rise for most hourglass shaped women are high rises as they tend to have a slightly more curved waist which will fit your waist a little better. They're also a fantastic way to highlight your defined waist and showcase your legs.
3/ tip three for buying jeans when you're an hourglass shape.
Look for styles that are in a 'curvy' fit. These are cut to accommodate a defined waist and a curvy frame so they ten to fit really well and rarely have that irritating gaping at the back of the waistband. This is my favorite retailer for curvy denim.
4/ tip four for buying jeans when you're an hourglass shape
I know that some people don't like jeans that have fading and whiskering, but details like that can help to enhance your curves and define your waist.
5/ tip five for buying jeans when you're an hourglass shape
Straight cuts will be one of the best fits for you. They will fit your waist well and won't gape around the hips and thighs.

1 - I love these boot cut jeans on hourglass shaped women, the gentle flare at the hem enhances your curves and creates a more defined waist.
2 - These skinny jeans are a 'wedgie' fit which means they lift the bum to create a firmer, rounder bottom! They also have a high rise which fits well and shows off your defined waist.
3 - These flares look fab on hourglass shaped women for the same reason that boot cut jeans look great! They hug and define your curves and create a more defied waist.
4 - These Skinny jeans are hands down my favorite pair. They are a 'curvy' fit which means they have a small waist but allow for curvy bum and hips. There is no gaping at the back of the waist band and they hug curves in all the right places.
5 - Straight leg jeans are a great shape for you, but make sure to go for a mid to high rise like this pair as they will show off your waist and fit with no gaping.
6 - Cropped kick flares are a great choice! They really show off curves and when they're a high rise like this or this, they will fit so well and show off your defined waist!
7 - These vintage cut high rise jeans are in a curvy fit so will fit your waist and hips and will really show off your curves and define your waist.
8 - These high rise straight, wide leg jeans will fit your waist, and hug your hips and thighs to showcase your curves.
9 – If you like the idea of flares but don't want really wide pair, these skinny flares are a great option for you. They have a high rise and hug the hips and thighs down to the knee where they gently flare out. I have 2 pairs of these because they fit SO well!
