These are the maintenance and storage items I have used for the past 12 years, and they are what I recommend my clients use.
Tops
NON-SLIP KNITWEAR HANGERS
Use these for any delicate items, such as knitwear, silk and any thin delicate fabric.
The rounded shape protects the shape of the item, and the rubber coating stops items falling off.
Pants / trousers
CLIP HANGERS FOR TROUSERS, PANTS AND SKIRTS
Pants, trousers, jeans and skirts are best hung with clip hangers. If you hang them over a hanger with a bar you will get a crease.
I recommend hanging pants and trousers from the hem as the weight of the waistband will pull out any creases that appear due to wear.
Leather
tissue paper FOR STORING LEATHER
Leather skirts and pants/trousers are best rolled with a layer of tissue paper.
If you prefer to hang them, use a clip hanger and put a layer of tissue paper between the hanger and the leather to protect it from damage.
Shoes
BOXES FOR STORING SHOES
Clear boxes are a great way to store footwear!
If you still have the boxes that your sheos cam in when you bought the, stick a photo on the front so you know what's inside, at a glance.
Boots
HOW TO STORING BOOTS
Keep your boots in shape using boot trees. It makes storing them easier (they take up less space) and it helps them to keep their shape.
If you don't want to spend on boot trees - use old magazines instead!
Jewellery
THE BEST WAY TO STORE JEWELRY
Store jewellery you can see it and access it easily, otherwise you're less likely to wear it!
Necklaces can stretch if hung so I recommend using these for earnings, rings and necklaces.
