Where most clients start
Most of the women I work with aren't quite sure what they need help with. They know something isn’t working, but they’re not sure what, why, or where to begin.
If that sounds like you, the Wardrobe Edit is your best next step. It's the foundation of every closet I help build.
It's where we identify what's working and what isn't (and why!), create some space for the right pieces, and build a plan so you stop impulsively trying to fill the gaps with clothes that don’t quite work and confidently build and develop your collection with pieces you actually need… and want to wear.

Common questions about working with an online personal stylist
You likely have some questions about what it's like working with an online personal stylist. Here are some of the questions I get asked the most:
What does an online personal stylist do?
An online personal stylist is a professional you hire to help you shop for clothes, put together outfits, streamline your closet, understand fit, and build a wardrobe that genuinely supports your lifestyle and personal style.
I work remotely - all my personal styling services are conducted online, using a combination of Zoom, my secure client portal, and your very own virtual closet app. But the support is very real. I’m a real person with 20 years of experience dressing women of all shapes and sizes in both the US and the UK, and I pride myself on offering a personalized in-person experience, virtually.
My role is to educate you, make life easier, and help you feel more confident, inspired, and excited to get dressed. Whether you're unsure which shapes, styles, or proportions really flatter you, your closet is full of pieces from different stages of your life, or getting dressed has simply started to feel like a chore, I'll help you rework what you have, identify what's really missing, and build a closet you genuinely enjoy wearing.
I offer a range of services depending on where you are in your style journey; from virtual wardrobe edits and online personal shopping to virtual color analysis and digital style guides, so there's a natural next step, whatever you need.
Yes, and for many people, it works better. If you live somewhere more rural, need specific fits such as tall, petite, or curvy, or simply can't take a day off to shop or do a wardrobe edit in person, virtual styling removes all of those barriers.
As an online stylist, I need an excellent understanding of fit and sizing because I'm not taking you into a store to try on dozens of pieces. Instead, you're ordering items to try at home, so I only recommend pieces I'm confident will work for you.
There's another benefit that often surprises people: because online styling involves more active participation from you - working through a questionnaire, building a Pinterest board, reviewing a style direction board - you end up with a much deeper understanding of your own style than you would from a more passive, in-person experience.
That self-knowledge is what makes the results last. You don't just get a new wardrobe; you come away knowing why it works, which means you can continue to build on it confidently long after we've finished working together.
Although I'm based in the UK, I lived in the US for many years and work primarily with American clients. I regularly research US brands, order clothing from American retailers to check fit and sizing, and I'm part of an exclusive private community of international personal stylists.
You get guidance grounded in US sizing and US retailers, with the option to weave in a touch of British and European style if that appeals to you. And if you're in the UK, I've got you covered too.
Most of the women I work with aren't sure what they need when they first arrive; they know something isn't working, but they're not sure what or why. Here's a simple way to think about it:
If your closet feels chaotic, you struggle to put outfits together, or you're not sure what's missing, a Virtual Wardrobe Edit is the natural starting point. If you know what's missing and are ready to fill the gaps with a curated, cohesive collection, Online Personal Shopping is the right fit. If you want both, the Virtual Wardrobe Edit and Online Shop package combines the two. And if color feels like the missing piece, Virtual Color Analysis will give you a bespoke palette to shop and dress with confidence.

Absolutely! This is one of the biggest benefits of working with me. I'm not here to start from scratch unless it's absolutely necessary. Most clients already own great pieces; they just need help identifying them, editing them, reworking them, and tying everything together so it all works better.
Often, clients already have 60–80% of what they need. We simply remove the items that aren't serving them, identify a few key gaps, and add pieces that pull the whole wardrobe together.
Very rarely. There are occasions where a bigger refresh makes sense, for example, if your body has changed significantly or you haven't bought anything new for years, but in most cases, the collection I source integrates beautifully with what you already own. My goal is always to build on your existing wardrobe, not replace it.
Yes. You set the clothing budget, and it's my job to spend it wisely. I prioritize versatile, high-quality pieces that mix and match well, actively look for offers and discount codes, and never push you to spend more than you're comfortable with.
It's worth knowing that the service fee covers my time and expertise only - you'll need a separate budget for the clothes themselves. From experience, a minimum clothing budget of around $1,800–$2,500 gives us enough to build a collection that genuinely transforms your wardrobe, but we'll always work with what you have and make it count.
Working with an online personal stylist involves a little more upfront work than working with someone in person, but it saves you so much time overall. You'll need to complete a comprehensive questionnaire, take some measurements, share a few photos, and pin to a Pinterest board. You can do this all at once or spread it across a couple of days.
Once that's done, your time investment becomes minimal. I source the collection, find the best size and price, and curate outfits that integrate with what you already own. You simply open your virtual closet, shop your collection, and wait for your deliveries. The time you save afterward far outweighs the small amount you invest at the start.
Virtual styling works incredibly well for most people, but it isn't right for everyone. If you prefer trying things on with someone physically beside you, or you know you need real-time encouragement and hands-on guidance, an in-person stylist may be a better fit.
Online styling works best when you're open to the process and realistic about what clothes can and can't do. Occasionally, a particular item simply doesn't exist in the right size, budget, or fit - when that happens, I'll always be honest and help you find the closest and most flattering alternative.
If you're comfortable following a simple online process, trying pieces on at home, and using the tools I provide, virtual styling is likely to be a great fit, and often more efficient than in-person support.
Everything you complete in the prep work is there to make sure you don't end up with a collection of items you don't like. My goal is to make getting dressed fun and easy; to give you a closet that works for you and that you actually enjoy wearing.
If there's ever any doubt in my mind that I haven't fully understood what that looks like for you, I won't move forward. We only begin sourcing once we're both confident we've understood each other and are on the same page in terms of style direction, lifestyle needs, and what's realistically possible for you.
With that said, it's a fine balance between making sure you get the exact collection you want, while also helping you expand your mindset about what's possible for you. As with any transformative service, there needs to be a certain amount of flexibility and open-mindedness.
"Not only is Niki a great listener, but she also challenged me to think outside of the box in terms of what would work for my body/look good on me. Initially, the pieces I gave a hard 'no' to are now my favorites!" - Lisa Clark, KS, USA
The best way is to book a free discovery call. It gives us a chance to meet face-to-face, talk through your frustrations and goals, and decide whether working together makes sense. Working with a stylist can be a personal process, and it's important that you feel at ease, understood, and supported. On the call, you'll get a sense of how I work, what the process looks like, and whether it feels right for you, with no pressure either way.
This was exactly what I needed!

“Perimenopause weight fluctuations left my wardrobe feeling like a disaster.
Once I stabilized, Niki helped me embrace my new body shape by weeding out clothes that no longer served me, creating flattering outfits from my existing wardrobe, and recommending key base layer pieces that I could add to increase the versatility of my outfits.
Meeting with Niki (twice) was exactly what I needed and her advice has me rocking my new body in clothes that make me look good and feel good."
